2001 clk320 battery went dead now the driver and pass, windows come down about 3 inches when doors are opened to get but stay up when im the car what caused this

was this caused because of a dead battery I did have to reenter the radio code in order for it to operate so is there a reset for the windows also ?

yes, ther is a window reset. Check your owner's manual, procedures vary with model
