Key fob when I stick in the key fob it says remove key on my 2001 Mercedes CLK

My key fob won't unlock my doors
lock on panic button works but it
will not Pop the trunk and when I
stick it into the crank it says
please remove key and it will not
turn the ignition

replace battery with correct one. If no better, check that it is the correct key. If still not working, key has failed, and you must deal with a dealer to repair/replace.
