I would take it in and have the steering column repaired. Sounds like it is worn.

I'm having a difficult time understanding the question. Are you saying the steering wheel will not lock... When? The the wheel lifts up while driving? Which wheel? Front or back. Does it do it when turning or hitting a bump? Does it turn alright? Sound like you have a broken shock or something major in the steering system if it is a front tire. You need to get to a repair shop ASAP as it is very dangerous to drive that way. Your wheel could go East as you are driving North without warning.

The adjustment on the driving wheel will not tilt on a clk320. what would be the problem?

Why would my 2002 Mercedes Benz clk430 be having this problem when I'm driving an I come to bumps I go over them it feels like my wheel scits out a lil an it's got me concerned, anyone got any ideas!?? Thanks guys
