They work with vacuum motors - check your hoses for leaks.

Thank You < also could the rotary swithch be bad ? we switch (turn it) to the floor,dash, def and it stays the same

as the answer you got they work on vacuum,sounds like your main vac, is not making the trip from underhood,find the 1/8 vac. comming from intake thru firewall look for breaks,cracks ect,
