2003 CLK320 convertible - Trunk & door switches

This past week both the key remote for the doors and trunk stopped operating along with the dashboard swithes.  While the door will open with the key, the trunk will not.  I stopped the opening of the top which enabled me to reach into the trunk to the emergency release which unfortunately is electronic vs. a cable release will not open.
Any suggestions?
