Asked by Guru9HQ3P Jan 16, 2019 at 04:16 PM about the 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK 350 Cabriolet

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

There are  two round controls for each the driver and passenger that operates
the heater and air conditioning temperature .  When trying to set them at the
desired temperature they won't go work and go to that setting.  AC at full
cold temperature and when adjusted to heat mode they blow full hot
temperature.

Probably a failure in the OCP (Overhead Control Panel) There is a temp sensor in the panel that regulates the AC settings. When it fails, the temp is either full cold or full hot. I have tried to find a replacement console, but repairing the sensor is another option (a small part and some soldering )
