wiring diagram for stereo system

I have a pioneer cd player that came from a dodge. the wires from
the power source on the cd player are not the same colors as the
wires coming from the malibu.  when I tryed to install it myself,
a wire touched the metal frame and shorted out my tail lamps, dome
lights, and display lights on dash, to name a few.  Now any fuse
I put in the fuse box under the hood pops immediately when I put a
new fuse in.  PLEASE HELP!!!

Hello, With the electric problems you have had to this point, I would highly recommend bringing to a mechanic to check it out and to install the stereo if it's a good match. He can also take a look at the fuse box and figure out what the short did. You don't want to be driving a car with electric problems, as it can be very dangerous. Sorry to send you to a mechanic, but that is what I would do and tell my friends to do. =/ Best of luck and be safe! CarGrrl
