If you replace it yourself you can get a kit online for around $200, give or take. The gasket is around $60, but you have to buy other things with it. If you get it done somewhere it will cost $600-$700 depending (hopefully this is the high end of what it will cost). If you are planning on changing it yourself this manual will help:http://www.themotorbookstore.com/malibu1.html
well if you live in fl. i could fix it for 300, if you go to a shop about 500+
how much should it cost to replace a 2000 Malibu radiator and how long should the job take- I am quoted around 800.00 I think this is extremely high.
Eva123456 - It will be best to ask this question through your own post; however, your average repair price will be $818.00 depending on your location. Labor is at 50% of the cost. If you're handy in the garage and have basic tools, you can do it for under $400 or yu can go to a salvage yard and get a used radiator for around $50. All depends on how much of your own time you want to spend on the repair.
HI, I had the intake manifold gasket replaced on my 2000 malibu about 8 months ago. According to my mechanic, the gasket itself costs around $50, but had to pay for 6.5 hours labor @ $102 per hr. Total cost was $887! Sorry for the bad news. Vic
Thanks Vicsterb, for your answer. Some online estimates showed price as low as $400. I just approved an estimate of $950 to replace the manifold gasket in my '95 Chevy Malibu. They said it would take 6 or 7 hours labor. Seemed high to me. Location: Denton, Texas
