Insert the ignition key into the driver door lock. Turn the key counterclockwise. Turn the key clockwise to lock the door. Turn the key counterclockwise to unlock the door again. This will shut the alarm off and reset the system.

My car literally just did this and all my gauges went down and said power steering and then error and then low fuel (I just filled my tank up an hour before it was on full) my wife tried the key in the door thing and it didn’t work we just sat there dumb founded for a minute and then after I turned the key it crunk back up and we was able to get home. The security light on my 2010 Malibu does not light up. The system itself is working, just not the light. I feel the light in itself is a good deterrent Does the whole darn dash hve to be pulled to replace that one stinkin' little bulb?.
