Ignition start up locked?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Today my 01 E 320's samrt key wouldn't turn.  Prior to being towed to shop, driver easily started car.  I drove home, turned car off and then couldn't turn key again?

possably,bad keyswitch,make sure key is complety in switch,wiggle it if hake to.

I would contact the shop that you had your car at. This is a very strange problem since MB goes to extended lengths to make sure the right key starts the right car.

Yesterday, my mother turned off her 94 E320 Mercedes, and the key would not come out. She wiggled it and finally got it out, but the car would not and still will not start. Trying to find the problem as we speak.

most of the time its eather the streening is in a bind or the shifter is not going all the way in park
