In principle very simple. 1) you need to place a relay in the fuse box, there is a blank in its place. (The fuse box diagram should tell you where) 2) You Need the dealer to program the computer to be a Canadian spec car and then it activates the lights. That is also a 5 minute item, but it took my dealer 2 days and kept telling me I had bad computers and they needed to be replaced. Either they were totally incompetent, or just trying to screw me out of my money, which the MB dealers appear to want to do all the time. I basically had to tell them what to do!!! I suspect by now you have this all figured out.

On my c class I can set the headlights to come on any time the ignition is on through the dashboard settings.
