My trailer lights blew the fuse (I changed the bulb)  (Drivers Side rear tail lamp) but I cannot find the fuse.  Does it have something to do with the tow package?  the trailer lights blew at the same time as the rear taillight

It is under hood in fuse panel,and in some models, it is in trunk by battery.

May be the wiring to the tow package bad,or could just be bad ground to trailer.

The Germans, God bless them, Have a fuse or relay for EVERYTHING! As you can see, there are over 40 fuses and 10 relays in the fuse box und the hood. Check your owners manuel for the location of the relay for the rear running lights.

If you replace the fuse and the lights immediately blow again, then inspect trailer wiring for that side for damaged insulation (short to ground), and trailer harness. This will be more likely than the wiring in you fine vehicle, but don't over look car's wiring as well if the trailer wiring is ok.
