How reliable is the '95 sl 500

Some people have no problems with their sl500 which others have tons of problems. The parts and maintenance are expensive. If you are looking at buying a used sl500 get the vin # and check out the cars history to see if anything has happened to the car. This will help you find out if you are going to have problems or not.

Hi, Getting ready to buy my first sl. it's a '99 from a miami dealer and it's missing the hardtop. The photos on Ebay look great, they had about 60 shots of all angles and interior. the care is Silver and I found a silver hard top for sale that's reasonable. Is this something I should mess with or just move on? Thanks, Chris
