I have 95 sl600 the soft top will not come up.

Asked by 40_dicky_d May 20, 2017 at 03:44 PM about the 1995 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class SL 600

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The Red button flashes when I try to rise the top.  When I push the button to
lower it, I hear a sound like it is cycling to a finish.  The warning light for the roll
bar stays on and the ABS, ADS and ASR lights stay on.  Anyone have an
answer?

your description is very confusing, when you push you're raising/closing the top when you pull the switch you're opening. Try closing manually , windows up, roll bar up, then turn on the engine see if it will reset. Have someone check on your ASR

It could be that the window regulator gears are worn out, iIf you hear a clicking sound. You will have to replace the window regulator. All so the manual list a fix for the roll bar. Simple start the engine and cycle through the steering, turn the wheels all the way right then left.
