What are the recommended tires for a 1997 Mercedes 320 SL?

Thank you. What brand for mostly easy driving? Rarely speed higher than 80 on highway. Want smooth ride and good traction when wet.

Michelin, Goodyear, the recognized names. Stay away from Yokomoyamato (not really a name) but for the very best get Goodyear Eagle , directional, yeah, 300 bucks a pop but you asked for best

U didnt specify rim size... Assuming 16", the earlier answer is correct . If you have 17" wheels, 245/45R17...

Could be Blake. Where I got that was Edmund's listing as standard on all '97 SL class. But that's not gospel..may be diff on Heidi's

High performance, very high quality, don't get much, if any better...$300 a pop, 45,000 mile pro~rated warranty, speed rating W, not as high as Z but will hold up at a faster speed than you will ever want to go
