There are several ABC messages available. Is it in White, Yellow or Red? The ABC switch on the console - what is it set to? Is there 1 light, 2 lights or none?
The 'red' indicators are important and need to be addressed right away. It means that a part(s) of your air suspension system have failed. Continued daily driving will result in further damage and a higher repair bill. It is absolutely true - if you go to an MB dealer, the repair cost could easily be $2,000. You most likely are looking at an air pump replacement. Your shocks may be okay. The shocks, which are done in pairs - will be nearly $2k at the MB dealer. Go to any good mechanic that you trust and find out which part(s) you need. Then go to www.arnottinc.com and get what you need to fix your car. Their prices are a fraction of MB's and they come with a lifetime warranty. MB's parts only have a 12 month warranty. Finally, do not panic over the reliability of your car. This is a normal repair for any car with this type of suspension. Usually replacing these parts once in the life span of a car is all you will do.
