SL Mercedes Retractable roof will not open what might be the problem

Mine has done that a couple times. Once, I had to replace the hydrolic motor which was very expensive. The 2nd time, it was just the sleeves under the flaps on each side that acts like the toneau cover. They were just worn and needed to be replaced. It wasn't too bad on the cost as I remember.

On Mercedes SL R129, check the hydraulic fluid from Mercedes dealer, the container is in the trunk under the spare,
