Why is this Seminole Fl Dealer allowed to list a 2005 sl500 as a 2006 car?

Why is this dealer allowed to advertise this 2005 car as a 2006 when the MFG sticker
says JUNE/2005? Please, explain. Thank you. See link to this car on your site below.
The MFG sticker says JUNE/2005?  Seminole FL $31,990 listed as overpriced for a
2006. But this car is a 2005 according to the photo of the STICKER on the DOOR. Am I

Mfg Date does not necessarily make the model year date for a title. It is the date on the title that is the law. Several years ago I bought a car with a July date and argued with the dealer. After losing that argument, I went to the Secretary of State and they gave the clarification. The dealer was right... the title rules! That said, the car is overpriced.

What you have found is normal practice in the auto industry. Often a manufacture will start making cars in May (sometimes even April) and list them as the following year car. The dealer is listing the car(s) as the manufacture labels them. I had on 07 SL550 that was actually made in May 2006. My current 09 SL was made in May 2008. That being said - I am very knowledgeable on SL's (especially in Florida).
