Pull the red top control switch next to the handbrake lever backwards. The top should then fold down. If it doesn't, start by checking the fuses...

Also, if you do pull the lever and it's making an attempt to open (trunk lid flipped up, but top not retracting), sometimes you can push up on the front ledge in the center and it will release the latches. Sometimes they just get stuck. I freaked out for about 20 minutes because I thought mine was busted, but just pushed up on it and it released.

Folding top 2001 320slk will not lower...lowered 1/2..then stuck...eased it closed...back 1/4 windows lower but top doesnt move...red activator button stays solid red
