Asked by mr Dec 24, 2014 at 01:18 PM about the 2000 Mercedes-Benz SLK 230 Supercharged

Question type: General

The drivers side mirror has a yellowish
tint to it. I've heard that happens after
the auto - dimming feature of it has
worn out. I also understand that
replacing it is very expensive.
2 questions.
1) How do you get the old mirror off?
2) Is there a cheaper alternative?
Thanks for any help.

Copy completely: http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Mercedes-SLK230/62-BODY- Side_Mirror_Repair_and_Replacement/62-BODY- Side_Mirror_Repair_and_Replacement.htm Here in Holland there are specialised used part dealers for the SLK. I bought a A40 relay module for €40 and a manual interior review mirror for €15 Only the shipping costs to the USA are rediculous By the way, -www.pelicanparts.com- gives nearly endless DIY information about the SLK. Another site: -www.slkworld.com- You can't do without these two. succes Charles
