Why does battery drain on 2000 slk230 K 6100 miles

2000 slk 230 K 6100 parked for 5 years, put new battery in and noises started
coming out of engine compartment, I thought it was energizing systems in the
car, if  opened the door I could hear things starting under hood. Battery
drained 2 days

You may has a parasitic short in the car, below is a quick and easy way to help locate the draw... copy and paste the below..

If your car is draining the battery most likely is probably the alternator you can check the fuses and change some a relay but most likely just make sure everything is in proper order if nothing seems out of the ordinary then might be a dead battery
