Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i rebuilt the carb and when i put it back on the car it ran, but the car runs at 4500 rpm at idle with no tention on the throttle and the throttle screw is all the way out i set the needle valves as specified 38 mm on the primary and 34 on the aux but it doesnt seem to be getting any gas in the float chamber but its throwing a crap load of gas out the main jet, i assume thats why its running at 4500 rpms but i dont know what i did wrong can anyone help?

More than likely you installed a valve incorrectly. Go back and recheck your final assembly.
