it's not discontinued you just need to find the right dealer
cable is non existent now, I just found out that a cable from a 95 Acura TL 2.5 will fit, you will have to create a couple of clamps in the engine bay, but it fits properly at the cable end, the plastic lock fits the notches in the hole on the Accord firewall, perfectly, cable is about the right length, adjuster is the same as the Accord, and the carburetor end is the same, the Acura cable is about 3/4 of an inch longer as far as the actual cable, I have a completely different carburetor setup then stock, but I designed it around a stock cable, the worst you may have to do is modify the cable mounting bracket at the carburetor, to move it back slightly. Considering there is no alternative it's a pretty simple thing to do
