It sounds like someone got in there and did a little creative rewiring at one time. I would start pulling fuses one at a time until I found out which fuse is tied into the brake lights. May not be the tail light fuse by itself. It may have been tied into the radio at some time. I would then start tracing the wires back until I figured out the where the problem was. Sounds like someone wired it to something which is always hot like the clock or something.
Yellow box on left rear hinge with wires on it Ck tail lights and ALS o. Check wires being pinched from or to 8937333010

I just installed rear spoiler to my 2014 nissan altima 2.5L. I connected the wires to the third brake light harness. Positive black wire from spoiler to black on the car, red wire from the spoiler to orange car harness. The problem is, the spoiler light stays on when the trunk lid is closed, it goes out when the lid is opened. What did I do wrong, what is going on?
