Fuel pump may be getting tired. Try turning the key to the ON position for about 10 seconds before starting. Let the system pressurize for a bit before starting. See if it starts on the first crank after that.

I tried that but it didn't make much difference. I am getting a strong gas odor from my engine when I start it. Any thoughts? Ken Thanks Reelin68
