Got a 89 Honda Civic 1.5 liter fuel injection motor it
studders when u first push the gas pedal down just
for s second then runs smooth until I shift gears
and push pedal then studders again for a second
then smoothes out, idles fines. Just always has a
small studders when first giving gas?

I think you have an engine that is not hitting on all cylinders. Could be spark plugs or other part of the spark delivery parts like wires, dist cap/rotor (if you car is so equipped). or coil. If not that, then fuel delivery like fuel pump or fuel filter. Sounds like the car runs rough until it manages to get up enough speed to warrant a gear change and then, as the RPM's drop to engage the next gear, it starts over again. Could also be a clogged air filter.

Anytime you push gas pedal it studders at first second but runs smooth right after a few studders ? Gonna try new plugs and wires and new filters see what that does
