Smoking

The blue smoke is due to oil burning. If your car only uses a quart or so of oil between changes and it only smokes a little then there is nothing to worry about. You could try going with a heavier oil. What weight oil do you use now and how often do you change the oil?

It is the valve seals they are rubber and get hard with age and allow a small amount of oil to drip into the cylinders when the car sits for a while my 1988 corolla with 297,000 miles does the same thing their is nothing to worry about it won't hurt anything. The 1988 Toyota is the most dependable car ever made just change the oil with Moble 1 synthetic oil and you will probably get 1,000,000 miles out of it.
