i need to know where the starter is located on the venture

I couldn't find that info on the web Amanda so I will refer you to your local library where I'll bet you'll find a Chilton's manual for your Venture. You'll get the location and the procedure for switch out for the cost of a few 25-cent copies. Failing that try your local parts store or book store for a copy. If you don't want to go to all that trouble a quick call to your local Chevy service manager should get you the info. Good luck!
