Question type: General

I have a 1999 Chevy Astro van. I have a rubber tube coming from the top of the
transmission and it doesn't seem to hook up anywhere. It started leaking fluid
from it. When I tried to plug it off it built up pressure in the transmission. When I
pulled the stick out it bubbled fluid out. HELP

That's the transmission vent by all means don't plug it off! put the hose up high in a safe place and zip-tie it into place.

That is your transmission breather. It let's excess air out. DO NOT PLUG THIS. it is common for it to leak a small amount once in a while. It will also let out any extra fluid caused by overfilling the transmission
