secondary fuel pump
1 Answer
Hi Fero ... I called a major parts supplier to see if there was anything in a Chevy Blazer that could be considered a "secondary fuel pump" and they relate that there is a pump on the engine side of the fuel chain. I have to guess that's easier than replacing the pump in the tank, but this supplier didn't carry that pump. That indicates to me that your local Chevy dealer is probably going to be the primary source of such a piece. A talk with the parts guy there will probably give you a good idea of how tough the job is as well. Another possibility is your local junk yard mechanic. He should be able to track one down and will probably be very reasonable in terms of getting it out of the junk car and into yours. Start with your Chevy dealer parts guy and try to get a part number, price and availability and then search the junk yards, and web. Your local library will probably have the Chilton's for your Blazer as well which will yield helpful information. Good luck!
