Oil leak front driver side tire. cv joint?

Asked by Jores87 Aug 28, 2019 at 02:30 PM about the 1999 Chevrolet Blazer 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi the front drivers side of my 99 Chevy blazer. Has
lots of oil and grease around inner cv joint boot.
It looks like it might be coming from drive shaft.
From the attached pictures does it look like it is
from cv boot or drive shaft or possibly somthing
else.
Only let's me put one photo. This shows most.

see if the boot is split , I think they make more of a mess when they leak , a real spray pattern and a heavier grease
