Just wondering if it might be my Cadillac converter stopped up

Asked by Charles1984 Oct 09, 2017 at 11:45 PM about the 1999 Chevrolet Blazer 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I crank it up it runs fine but when I give it gas
to pull out from somewheres it spits and sputters
like I'm running out of gas until I get up to a certain
RPM and then it kicks in and runs great so I was
wondering if if I took it to a muffler shop if the
Blazer would run without a Cadillac converter or if I
would have to replace it

That does not sound like a Caddie or a bad catalytic converter, more like a fuel delivery issue.

May need a tune up and not just basic plugs & wire tune with fuel filter/air filter, but change/clean and do all service items that should have been done since new. Check fuel pressure and use some fuel injection cleaner in tank and clean/rebuild injectors if high miles.
