Replaced bulb, only high beam on other side works

Asked by AKMark Jan 20, 2015 at 08:22 PM about the 1987 Toyota Corolla FX16 Hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My light filled with water and the bulb blew. I replaced the bulb, fuses and relay, but still have no lights, except the highbeam on the other side.

Take a test light and see if you have power to the bulb socket. If not, start tracing the wires back and see if you find corrosion, broken or loose grounds. Check around the socket and connections for that thick green corrosion. If it were a bad switch, none of the lights would work.
