The car heater doesn't blow hot air. Sometime it will but most of the time it won't, engine is hot, heater hoses are hot, fan is blowing, air is cold. I live in alaska, Only 45,000 miles on this little car. But I need some heat.

It's a bad discharge temp sensor, so the computer doesn't know what the heater is putting out. Sensor has failed reading a high discharge temp so it won't open the heating valve. So my cheap fix was to diconnect the heating valve linkage and control it by hand, I have it set about mid-way and it's about right, If I get warm I roll down the window a little. I live in Ak. so I need heat most of the winter. It works for me up here. Poor people have there poor ways of repairing things.
