Turn ignition switch "on", do not start. Look at the instrument cluster where you see trans position. "PRND" If those letters are "dim" and one is not bright (which is indicating the trans position), look at the neutral switch and wiring harness, then look at replacing the transmission control computer. "EGS". I replaced my transmission internal harness, then X5 would not start, I had the grey wire on the neutral switch damaged. i suspect it shorted to earth and fried my trans computer.

I have battery powered and my car won’t start & it’s on neutral and pricing the brake and it won’t start, but they start like a couple days later, but I won’t start now
