Hi,i own a 2001 bmw x5, 3.0, i think its leaking oil on both sides of the engine, i konw one side is the valve cover but unsure of where on the other side below the filter oil is leaking.

the valve cover is leaking and somewhere around the region of the oil filter area. can you
please tell me where in that area commonly leaks. also which is the best brand gaskits to
buy.

Hi m y name is Efren and your oil leak is under the oil filter frame that connect to engine block and is not hard to replace if you mechanical inclined my cell is 714-401-3239 I replace the same seal on 2003 X5 3.0 engine call me anytime sorry no pic, but I can tell you how to replace it
