Keys locked in trunk

Asked by GuruCLCGQ Feb 18, 2019 at 10:27 PM about the 1998 Volkswagen Cabrio 2 Dr GL Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My neighbor has locked her keys in her trunk and it looks like backseat option
bolts from within the trunk and I'm not trying to remove that convertible top to
tear more out....help me please! Simple solution is call the Smith right!

PS ....her guy has stripped the passenger glove/dash area to try to make this a
racer...is there a switch that used to be there I can trip?

The seats should have a button or lever to push down and pull forward. As long as the battery is hooked up, you can unlock it by pushing the central lock/unlock switch up in the middle of the console on the dash.
