Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I went thru a lot of water it didnt die but days after that it ran great. except
taking off it would bog out and almost die but would catch and be fine then
it stalled out for good wouldnt start at all . after letting it sit it would start but
right when u push the gas dies out. A friend said it was timing belt but that
dont make sense to me .
Help i dont have money to fix everything trying to figure out what it is.

Check the distributor cap for moisture if it has moisture use some CRC electronic contact cleaner and spray it out. Same for plug wire boots both ends and all electrical connectors. See if air filter got wet if it did, replace it.

If that is the problem (moisture) all you have to buy in electronic parts cleaner and maybe an air filter.
