What would cause sprutting n the car 2 shutoff while driving or starting a 99 VW Cabrio?

This has just started out of the blue n I have changed
the ignition coil, distributor cap, spark plugs , changed
the oil,n I have put gas treatment in. I dont know what
else it could b. Can someone please help me cuz this is
really stressfull.
