Where is the fuel pump on my
2001 vw cabrio

The fuel pump assembly is located in the fuel tank. You can access via a panel plate when you remove the rear seat cushion. You can buy a whole fuel pump assembly to make things easy or just replace the pump itself. youtube has a few videos. I would check for fuel pressure first before replacing.

Thank you, I got that checked out but found a pump like device located at the rear in the trunk at driver's side had a bubble like meassuring plastic cup broken off in pieces, it has a pump like look to it and fuel lines run in it, it also has a handle on it to adjust gasoline level running through it. I whet to the out parts store but they can't find it if I don't give them a part name , could you tell me what it's called?

Guru... That is aftermarket. Someone put it on there. To do what/???? that will be an unanswered question for our lives. Just bypass it
