Depends on your rim size. What size tires are on the Lumina now?
And the rest of the numbers? What you're concerned with is the existing width and profile. Partially because of the overall width/profile of the existing tires compared to the ones you want to use. If the rim is too narrow it will cause the other tires to bulge giving you a crown where the tread hits the road. The other thing to consider is the overall circumference of your existing to the new; this will affect how your speedometer will read.
The tires are on the rim I'm switching the rim and all from one car to another i'm not putting this size tire on the rim that is currently on the lumina cuz they are wider that part i understand. so it should work then right?
The tires should fit without any problems as far as clearance goes. You had not mentioned that you are switching rims also which is a whole different item to deal with; if the rims you're going to were off of another GM product they might or might not work. What you have to look at is the bolt pattern of the wheels, not all cars with that size tire have the same bolt pattern; a Lumina is 5x115mm. Second part is the offset of the rim the car is Front Wheel Drive and stock they use a ET45 or ET48 which is a positive offset f 45 or 48mm. What are the wheels from that you want to use?
It's off of a 99 chevy malibu same bolt pattern just not sure on the other details if it will be safe to use on my lumina . The tires on my malibu are still in good shape I would like to use them instead of buying new ones if that's possible
Yes, they both have the same offset and the same bolt pattern. The 215/60R 15 was a factory optional size on the Lumina with certain trim packages so this will fit and your speedometer reading should be correct.
I have some 235 tires that I want to fit on my 98 Lumina. Do you think they will fit?
