fuel pump module assembly

1999 chevy lumina LS 3.1 engine/I removed the fuel pump assembly module
and they are no ID letters or numbers that will identify which fuel pump is
would be correct.They are two fuel pumps. onboard vapor recovery and the
other one available is without onboard vapor recovery.how would you tell the
difference between the two fuel pumps ?

You are correct that there are two different fuel pumps available for your car. One allows for "vapor recovery" while refueling...marked "WGL". And the other one does not, it's marked "WGG". Original equipment was a Bosch marked "WGL". Okay. I would take the old pump to the parts store and do a side-by-side comparison. There has to be a visible difference between the two and it has to be right. You can thank the EPA for that headache. Good Luck
