A bad MAF CAN cause a 'no start'. Usually it will cause long cranking time before starting, poor performance and poor economy because of a bad MAF, it is part of what sets fuel/air trim... yes, sometimes run, but badly or no start at all. How do you know the MAF is the problem? Have you gotten a P0101 or P0102 code?

It can be cleaned, and you may not need a new one if that really is the problem. These two videos explain how: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQGSkWEC_u4 www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TO7ZC5N-aA
