I changed the water pump in my car, put everything back togother, the car starts but will not stay running. It only stays running if I keep the RPMs up. What could it be?

Perhaps there is a correlation? I thought the EPC light has to do with the brake lamp. Now I recently had the water pump, alternator, timing belt and battery replaced, now?
