Golf mk4 trunk left side

I have a 1998 golf mk4 tdi 1,9 ALH and really curious what the purpouse of
that space in the trunk?

most likely is a storage space. by the shape i would say for stuff like your tire iron and jack or what ever else nick nacks you got. open it and find out you might find a door way to narnia :P

I cant open it, because there is no door or whatsoever. There is some kind of storage. No adapter or case or anything else I could find in the car. In other golf mk4 there is the same kind of storage space. I will make a photo and post it here.

omg hahaha sorry for the laughing but that is for servicing your lights LMAO that knob holding it on there is a screw it keeps turning to back out till it comes off :P if you ever need to replace a bulb take it off remove the 3 screws holding the light on and replace the blub :P

i knw that there hase to be changed the bulbs for the tailight (changed recently)

well if you don't have a spare tire under the mat they often install them in the side of the trunk. other then that is likely there is nothing there. It would jsut be a normal trunk side.

the divot is simply just trunk design. Nothing special just the top of the wheel well.
