2000 malibu EGR harness pictures I think someone replaced connector wired wrong veh has a p0404 and p1404 code

veh keeps setting a p0404 and p1404 code Egr has been replaced intake removed and cleaned . the code have been set for over a year or more. I believe that the connector was wired wrong . the veh is a  late year 1999 all parts have to be 2000 yr. model. I believe that there could be a broken  or chewed through wire in the harness also but haven't found it yet.

The harness had the center two wires that were both brown wire w/white tracers reversed. cut spliced and soldered same. No codes happy happy.
