Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 5-spd transaxle housing just cracked, the reverse gear is chipped, and the reverse lockout plastic housing is broken. Is there more than one replacement transaxle? If so, which is the best? Where is the best place to get these parts?

any trans will fit from 1.8 engine from like 1986-1998 the older the better the parts weren't made in mexico in the 80's and the gears would be better from a jetta as well. you will get better fuel economy and high top end.
