K&n air intake for my car

So I have a 96 vw gti and I just bought a
mustang gt 97-2002 k&n air intake for my
car and it didn't fit. Any k&n intakes that
would fit my car that you guys know
about?

You bought an air intake designed for a Mustang and expect it to fit a VW? Apples and oranges. Go back to K&N and find the right application for your car.
