its a manual car and has a 2.0 liter engine. i want to kno what different engines is my car
compatible with. i want to swap engines and would like to kno what is my cheapest
engine? and would would be my best engine? please and thanks in advance

The only reason folks generally swap engines is to gain a capability not already in the vehicle. In your case, the 2.0 engine IS the least expensive option...if your current engine needs replacement, the least expensive choice is another 2.0.
What Scott said is spot on. Now if you are looking for performance the 1.8T (engine code AWP) might be up your alley. Engines can be found for a grand in good condition. In all honesty though if you are really into swapping from a 1.8T find a wrecked GTI, because the swap will involve a lot more then just the engine Engine, ECU, Cluster, Transmission, ETC. i ment to mark them both great answers . Thanks guys . As you an see i dnt kno.much about cars and every detail i can get helps because when my car messes up i kinda havet go about my way to fix it. I put my own brakes and rotors on lol but thank youuu !!!
vr6 r32 for a 2.o swap or drop a turbo on the 2.o with cai and exhaust

I also have 2.0 2000 golf that's over 300000km I'm thinking about getting another beater and turning this one into ls2 swapped golf
