i have a vw gti 1.8t today in the morning when i was trying to go out i startd the car and i put it in 1st gear and it dindt go
foward just make a little noise somewhere under the hood then i left it in 1st gear and pull up the cloutch then whent to see
where the noise was coming from and i saw the rigth axle going around and thats the one making the noise help please

sounds like your c/v joint has collapsed mate.try euro car parts for a cheap price to buy,not a difficult job for a garage

was the axle moving clockwise, or counter clockwise? scraping noise, or tap, type? to confirm the right side axle was spinning, NOT THE LEFT?? the trans was engaged in first gear, and the clutch was out, what held the car in place??
